Magic Stone Guide

Magic stones. They are the main currency in Puzzle and Dragons. Gungho gives them out almost daily in the mail or through daily dungeons, which makes this game a fairly giving free to play game. Magic stones are used to roll on the Rare Egg Machine (REM), Increase friend/box space, and refill stamina.

It is best if the player uses their stones for the REM, especially during Godfests, to quickly build their boxes and helping them progress through the game. Remember that when beginning the game, any roll in the REM is good, even if it is a silver, and you shouldn't always expect to get a gold or diamond egg.

Increasing box space is very important as you progress and get more monsters. This is because you can build many different teams with the monsters stored and collect evolution materials that would be used to evolve those monsters. A general rule of thumb is to have twice as much space as your rank. Once you reach rank 67, you would have the max amount of free friend space that is given, which is 50 friend slots. It is recommended to wait until you get the free 50 friend slots before you increase space.

A rather common beginner mistake is that they would use a stone to refill their stamina, which isn’t a very good idea, since it is easier for beginners to rank up quickly. This means that they would waste the stamina that they bought with stones. Later in game, once you reach higher ranks, it may be useful to use stones for stamina since it may take 10+ hours to have full stamina once again, but it is better to wait.

Stones are rather expensive. The picture attached shows the cost of stones. These are the lowest costs if you live in the US. If you are in another country, it is much more expensive.





Magic stones are very valuable, though easy to farm as a beginner, it is very difficult to obtain as you get nearer to end game. Saving is always best, along with waiting for Godfests and waiting for stamina to refill on its own. Take advantage of how Gungho is very generous when giving out free stones and save up.
