Reincarnated Sun Quan

Revo Sun Quan
Hey All!!! This is your Boiiii here, and today I will be making an in-depth guide on Reincarnated Sun Quan.

Reincarnated Sun Quan is a strong, tpa-based lead. He is great as a sub, too.

Reincarnated Sun Quan was never really considered the best lead. However, with the right subs, a strong team to clear much content can be made.

So, here it goes!!

Leader Skill: 4x attack when Water and Fire attack at once; 2.5 ATK and RCV for water when skills used.
Active Skill: Delays enemies' action by 2 turns. 2x attack for water for 2 turns. (13 turn Cooldown)

Pros:

  • Potential 100x lead
  • RCV boost (6.25x)
  • Easy activation, only have to match fire and water
  • Great overall skill with a delay and burst
  • Has SBR
  • 4(!) TPAs
  • Great weighted stats
  • Good Damage control with 16x when skills not used.
  • Pretty hot
Cons:
  • Bindable
  • Weak attack without TPAs
  • Extra 2.5x ATK and RCV (6.25 with two) only obtained when skills used.
  • No HP enhance or damage reduction
Best Subs
Obviously, for this team you would want TPAs, TPAs, and more TPAs! However, a bind clear is also needed because Sun Quan is bindable. So, I will be separating this section into four parts: Attacking Subs, Defensive Subs, Farmable Subs, and Notable Inherits.
Notable Attacking Subs:
  • The best sub by far would be No. 3437. However, this monster is a part of the Sunday All Stars Collab, only available in Japan. So RIP NA players. This monster has great weighted stats, is unbindable, has 3 TPAs, has a RCV bind, SBR, and its skill is amazing. This skill creates 4 Water and 4 Fire orbs, respectively. Both these attributes are needed to activate the leader skill of Sun Quan. This skill only has a cooldown of 8 turns and charges skill charge by 1.

  • Scheat (Water/Fire): Scheat can be also one of the strongest subs. She provides 5 TPAs and high HP. Her skill changes Light, Heal, Jammer, and Poison orbs to Water and makes Water orbs more likely to appear for 4 turns, at a cooldown of 10 turns. She does not have SBR though.

  • Super Saiyan 3 - Gotenks(Water/Fire): This monster provides two TPAs, three Skill Boost, good stats, a great skill, and is unbindable. Only restriction being that it doesn't have SBR. This skill creates 2 Water and 2 Fire orbs and enhances the orbs at a cooldown of only 5 turns. This is very important, as Sun Quan is fully activated only when skills are used.

  • Azure Goddess, Valkyrie Reine (Water/Light): This monster provides two TPAs, a Guard Break, 7c2x enhance, and good weighted stats. Along with Gotenks, she doesn't have any SBR. Her skill is pretty helpful, changing Heal to Water at a cooldown of only 5 turns, and its 7c2x and Guard Break are extremely helpful at times.

  • Gan Ning (Water/Fire): Provides 7c2x, 2 TPAs, SBR. Its skill is very important, removing lock orbs and creating both Water and Fire orbs.

  • Barbarossa (Water/Fire): Provides 3 TPAs, 2 SBR, and Attacker Killer. Its skill creates 6 Water orbs, cooldown 8 turns. The 2 SBR can be very useful if using subs like Valkyrie, Scheat, Gotenks with no SBR.

  • Some others: Summer Urd, Awoken Sarsavati, Nut, Ackerman, Amatsumagatsuchi.
Defensive Subs: Mostly bind clears
  • Reincarnated Isis (Water/Fire): Covers both Water and Fire. Mainly provides an unbindable bind clear with a short cooldown of 3 turns.

  • Reincarnated Viper Orochi (Water/Light): 4 turn delay. However, this can be considered attacking too, as it has 4 TPAs. Great stats, especially HP.

  • Other notable defensive subs: Scholarship Student Isis, Metatron, Ultimate Puppetmaster Santa, Nene, Rinoa.
Farmable Subs:
  • Cthulhu No. 3638 (Water/Water): Great stats, great skill making Water orbs and Bind Clear at cooldown of only 5 turns

  • Another Justice (Water/Dark): Provides a good farmable option with a TPA and Bind Clear.

  • No. 3740 (Water/Dark): Farmable with 3 TPAs, SBR, and a good skill.

  •  Starling (Water/Wood): Decent farmable sub with one TPA, decent skill. Not ideal.
Notable Inherits:
  • Board Changers: Urd, Haku, Typhon, Meliodas, Lumiel, Mori Motonari.
  • Bind Clears: Anything really works, but try to put it on an unbindable monster. If it is Water, though, the stat boost will be in effect.
  • Others: Summer Eschamali.

I have yet to mention options for the second part of Sun Quan's leader skill, which requires an active skill to be used. You can risk not getting the full multiplier each turn or get something like Gunma. Gunma provides a one turn cooldown to get full multiplier each turn. However, Gunma is Wood attribute, and does not line up with Sun Quan. This is completely up to you. Would you prefer to get the full multiplier every time or have a full team of water and high stats?

Tips: Try to get a Water TPA each turn unless damage control is necessary. Use your skills wisely, as they provide and extra 2.5 AK and RCV. Remember to match Fire alongside Water to get the full multiplier. Try to get high combos to refresh the board. Have fun!

In conclusion, Sun Quan is a very strong leader with a high multiplier and easy activation. However, he is not tanky, he is bindable, and needs something of a short cooldown. Overall, I can't wait until he comes to NA!
