Final Fantasy Collab - Pixel Ultimate Evolutions

Once again, the Final Fantasy Collab is back and with it are a plethora of exciting cards, rewards, and dungeons. With new ultimates being released, the viability of old and new characters alike have drastically increased, making it one the best collabs to spend your hard earned stones on.

Let's first talk about the most anticipated part of this Collab. Pixel forms. Now if you haven't heard the announcements, Gungho has given us brand new method of dealing with annoying boss mechanics. Fujin and Hiko allowed us to disregard damage absorb effects, Starry Night Bride Persephone allowed us to ignore attribute absorbs, and now, even damage void effects are practically harmless. One issue with the cards previously mentioned is that their success depended solely on the skill being ready by the time it's needed. However, with the new pixel ultimate evolutions, the void damage penetration is in the form of an awakening aptly named Void Damage Piercer. Unless you get awoken bound, you probably won't have to worry about having a skill ready. Probably. The Void Damage Penetration requires you to match a 3x3 block of orbs of the same attribute as the monster who possesses the awakening. But Spork, wouldn't you lose some damage by doing that? Fret not because in addition to the damage void annihilator, the pixel form ultimate also gets a 2.5x attack multiplier. While this may be detrimental in a combo orientated team, it at least compensates for the damage lost in forming the 3x3 block.

Now you may be wondering how you can get a pixel ultimate. Well, they're just like normal ultimate evolutions involving keepers, masks, and lits with the special addition of a Pixelit. One Pixelit will be required for each pixel ultimate and can be farmed as random invades in the Mythical difficulty of the Friday Dungeon.

Tips for 3x3 blocks
- Use a 7x6 lead (i.e. Diablos, Ilmina, Tachibana, etc.) to provide more space for matching.
- Use a skill that makes a row of different colored orbs. For example, popping Wee Jas' skill allows you to quickly close off a 3x3 block in the corner of the board with two heart combos.
